Join award-winning book artist and book designer Avril Makula for a weekend of creative paper folding and bookmaking at 20 Cobargo Bemagui Road, Cobargo, Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 June, 10am - 4pm; $190 per person. Discover how simple but effective folding and stitching techniques can be used to make notebooks, journals, and artists' books. The South Coast Pastel Society is hosting Seascape, a workshop and demonstration with multi-award-winning-pastel artist Tricia Taylor, at Batemans Bay Surf Club; workshop is Saturday 15 June; $80 members/$90 non-members, and the demonstration (how Tricia approaches painting her seascapes) is Sunday 16 June, cost $25. In this pastel workshop at Narooma School of Arts Studios on Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 June, 10am - 4pm, Nicki Hall will demonstrate the technique she frequently uses to create her work. Using a white substrate that will allow participants to block in an under painting to develop the hues and values that support a particular subject.
