ABC South East reported this afternoon that after weeks of counting, the Liberal candidate for Eden Monaro has conceded defeat. The report said "Fiona Kotvojs has congratulated Labor's Mike Kelly on retaining the seat, and thanked all those involved in her campaign. Dr Kotvojs issued a statement acknowledging voters in the electorate for contributing to Australia's democratic process... and urged people to uphold it and never take it for granted."
