Greg Bush Wins Tuross Vets Single Stableford

Today's cool morning start tempted a number of regular players to stay tucked under the covers but despite this a good field of 50 players registered for the Single Stableford event. Winner on the day was Greg Bush, benefitting from a handicap adjustment last week, with a fine individual score of 24 points. Greg was followed home by Annette Manton on 22 and Wal Williams on 20 on count back. Terry Challender came home in 4th place with balls or chocolates going to Kay McLeod and Tim Skinner on 19, Graham Pratt together with Shirley and Ted Quinlan on 18, and finally Tim Starr, Ian Manton, Enid Besant-Ryan and Paul Pereira all on 17 points and all on count back.

Ken Brown, our Veterans lowest handicapper (+1 today), failed to fire and took out the infamous Bradman award this week. Nearest the pins went to Steve Collins on the 4th, Ian Miller on the 6th, and Ann Ware and Lance Shadbolt on the 7th, whilst Margaret Downey surprised everyone with an incredibly long and accurate drive alongside the string line to take out this week's Accuracy drive.
