Free memoir writing workshops

Those with an interesting story to tell can learn how best to tell it at free memoir-writing workshops in Batemans Bay, Moruya and Narooma this month.

Held at Eurobodalla libraries, the hands-on workshops will be run by accomplished Sydney-based writer and editor Kerry Chater.

Eurobodalla Libraries coordinator Donna Lawrence said Ms Chater would help participants find inspiration and offer practical writing tips.

“We know there are plenty of people out there in our community who have fascinating stories to tell,” she said.

“This workshop motivates participants to put pen to paper, whether it’s for publishing, to share with family and friends or just to reflect on in years to come.”

The memoir writing workshop will be held from 10.30am-12pm at Moruya Library on Monday 17 June, Batemans Bay Library on Tuesday 18 June, and Narooma Library on Wednesday 19 June.

For more information or to book, phone your local library at Batemans Bay 4472 5850, Moruya 4474 1333, and Narooma 4476 1164.
