Batemans Bay Girls U14 Rugby team sit top of the ACT Junior Rugby ladder after 4 rounds with 3 wins and a narrow 4 point loss. The girls compete full contact games of 10-1-side games with scrums, line outs, tackles, tries and goal kicks. The rules of the competition makes teams match numbers on the day with the aim they play 10's but, some games will commence at 7-a-side if a team is short. To date the Batemans Bay girls have shown great skills and enthusiasm in both attack and defence. They have only played one home game to date and travel again this weekend to take on Cooma. It is expected they will than get a run of home games to showcase their skills. The team only just has the numbers for a team and would welcome any new players. Training is every Tuesday & Thursday from 4.30 at Hanging Rock Rugby Oval. Any new girls interested can simply turn up to training or make contact with the Club through the Batemans Bay Junior Rugby facebook page.
