Kayakers rescued from Snapper Island

A volunteer crew from Marine Rescue Batemans Bay this afternoon responded to reports of two Kayakers in the water off Snapper Island. Marine Rescue Vessel BM21 was launched and underway within 11 minutes of the call being received, and soon had the kayakers recovered and on-board. BM21 then returned the kayakers to calmer waters to return to their launch point. Fortunately no injuries were reported.

BM21 was crewed by David Murn and John Clements, while communications in the radio base were manned by Michael Kelly. A fantastic speedy response from everyone involved.
