Reginal Apps wins Tuross Head par event Tuross Head Country Club men golfers competed in a par event this week with Reginald Apps emerging as the winner with a score of plus 3.
Frank Pomfret was a close second with plus 2.
Rex Wood and Russel Taylor both handed in cards of plus 1 and Peter Garn’s even score filled the remaining award positions.
Nearest the pins were won by:
A grade player Paul Ferguson who was closest on the 4th hole with 2.71 m and Paul also won the 6th hole with 1.1 m.
Dave Bray was best on the 7th hole with 8.36 m.
B grade golfer Reginald Apps was best on the 4th hole with 1.67 m.
Jim Wade scored 2.3 m on the 6th and
Andrew Gordon was awarded the 7th with 8.03 m.
In C grade division, Graeme Bell won the 4th hole with 2.84m and
C.T. Milliken the 6th with 6.3 m.
Thursday’s medley stableford was won by Allen Gannon with 40 points ahead of Ron
Rogers 37, Jim Wade and David Schmid who both scored 36 points.
Nearest the pins were awarded to Ian Miller, Peter Garn and Colin Houghton.
