Colin Houghton emerged as an easy winner in the Tuross Head Country Club stableford competition on Saturday.
Placing off a low handicap of two strokes Colin scored an excellent 40 stableford points.
Bruce Cleeve’s 38 points saw him fill second placing, followed by Greg Smith and Peter
Nikolic both on 36 points.
Bruce Martin was awarded the remaining podium spot with a creditable 35 points.
Nearest the pins were won by A grade golfer Adam Husband on the 4th hole with 3.22 m.
John Phyland won the 6th with 4.47 m.
Best of the B grade players was Jim Wade with 3.30 m on the 4th hole.
Reg Apps was awarded the 6th with 3.44m and
Paul Hogan the 7th with 3.80 m.
Trevor Jones was closest of the C grade players with 4.77m on the 4th and
Roger Chappell scored on the 6th with 5.17 m.
Thursday’s medley stableford was won by Glen Shearer with 36 points ahead of Ian McManus with 36 points, Peter Nikolic 35 and Ian Miller 34.
Nearest the pins were won by Steve Swanbury, Trevor Jones and Michael Kermode
