JOHN COX AND KEVIN DUKES TAKE OUT VETS GOLF 4BBB STABLEFORD EVENT
Fifty two players teed off for this morning's 4BBB Stableford event with overnight showers having cleared for a fine morning of golf. Winners on the day were John Cox and Kevin Dukes with a score of 26 points. They were followed home by Patrick Sager combining with Marcel Kors to record 25 points on count back from Don Russell and Noel Downie, and then Mike Birks and Herb Muriwai on 23. Balls or chocolates were won by Greg Ware and Neil Mather on 22, followed by Ross and Gayle Macalpine, Warren Hodder and Julie Barningham, and finally Leonie Snodgrass and Dorothy Madden, all teams having scored 21 points.
This week's infamous Bradman award was taken out by the pairing of Greg Bush and Geoff Bellingham, whilst Nearest the Pins were won by Kevin Dukes on the 4th, Marcel Kors on the 6th, and Dorothy Madden and Ian Miller on the 7th. Marcel Kors capped off a good morning by also taking out the Accuracy drive on the 5th.
