On the 14 th June, Moruya High School hosted the South Coast RoboCup Competition. Teams from Ulladulla High and Narooma High played in 2 of the events on the day. Event of Rescue, where the robot has to follow a line to get to rescue an item from a chemical spill. The Winning Team was “Paw Patrol” from Ulladulla High School. In the other Event, Soccer, teams from Moruya and Narooma fought hard and learnt a lot about what their coding was doing right and wrong and solved lots of problems over the day. A hard fought final was won narrowly by “.EXE” from Moruya High. “The students developed lots of problem solving and team work skills while trying to compete at the event, “ said Ms Webber, Robotics Manager at Moruya High School, “to prepare for the State Competitions being held in mid-August (NSW) and early September (ACT).” The competition was opened by Councillor Jack Tait and closed by Superintendent, Mr Greg McDonald with the awarding of certificates and ribbons.
