Heritage grants available for Eurobodalla property owners

Owners of heritage properties in Eurobodalla can apply for grants from Eurobodalla Council this month to help them restore heritage items to their original glory.Grants of up to $5,000 are available for projects that enhance individual places, buildings and historic streetscapes and promote the appreciation of Eurobodalla’s history. Council offers the Local Heritage Places Grant program every year to raise awareness of heritage conservation, with a funding contribution from the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage. The grant program has financed several heritage projects over the years and is an important resource in ensuring heritage items in Eurobodalla continue to be celebrated and valued. Successful applicants need to contribute one dollar for every dollar provided by the grant, and the restoration work must be completed before May 2020. For more information, or to complete the online application form, visit Council’s website www.esc.nsw.gov.au and search Local Heritage Places Grants or phone Council’s strategy and heritage planner on 4474 1324. Applications close Friday 26 July 2019 at 2pm.
