$29.87 million Goulburn Aquatic and Leisure Centre officially opened

The new indoor $29.87 million Goulburn Aquatic and Leisure Centre officially opened today, Friday 29th April 2022, just a day after Batemans Bay opened its own $70 million pool. The $29 million budget for Stage one of the Goulburn Aquatic & Leisure Centre Redevelopment was made possible through a $10 million commitment from the NSW Liberal National Government during the 2019 State election.

Funded by Goulburn Mulwaree Council and State Government grants, the state of the art aquatic centre features:

  • New learn to swim pool and children’s splashpad area

  • An additional 10 lane, 25m indoor pool

  • repairs to the sealing of the existing 50m pool built in the 1960s.

  • Note the 50m Outdoor Pool is Open October to March

  • Warm water pool

  • Outdoor water play area

  • New change rooms

  • Café

  • Gym

  • Car parking

  • Landscaping upgrades.

This news will be of interest to the many South Coast residents who go back and forth to Goulburn. The centre is based at 85 Deccan Street, Goulburn Note: Unlike the Batemans Bay Pav the Goulburn facility doesn't have a 350 seat theatre or water slide
