A trip down Memory Lane at IRT MORUYA

Writer's picture: The BeagleThe Beagle

Last Friday , July 27th 2019, saw the Moruya and Antique Tractor and Machinery Association (MATAMA) put on a display for the residents at the IRT Moruya Retirement Village and Aged Care Center.

Rob Patterson of the Association said "We were treated royally, with copious cuppas and biscuits served up to all club members and later,  sausage & onion sandwiches with sugar free drinks, for a fabulous BBQ lunch."

"The residents seemed to enjoy what they saw and asked lots of questions and, prompted by the sight of our tractors, engines and cars, they did quite a lot of reminiscing.

"Our members were more than happy to answer their questions and were gladly taken down many Memory Lane's."

MATAMA meet in the evening of the 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Moruya Golf Club at 7.00pm. The meetings are pretty informal and all are invited to join. Should you want to contact the Association or be interested in joining their details are on the "Contact Us' page of their website.
