Batemans Bay Women’s Rugby team looking to build on their great season start

Batemans Bay women’s rugby union team has started strongly in the ACT women’s 10’s competition with an impressive win plus a narrow bonus point loss. The team is stacked with talent but only just has enough players to field a team each week and would like now to recruit more.

The team has surprised everyone to date with their first season in the competition. Determined defence and a love of running with the ball has the girls enjoying the games.

With the winter competition only into round 4 it is obvious that some players wont always be available every week so the Club wants to recruit more now. The interchange rules allow plenty of game time for every player no matter if they start on the field or bench – 12 interchanges can be easily manager over the 2 x 25 minute halves allowing everyone lots of Rugby.

Training is every Tuesday & Thursday at Hanging Rock oval, Batemans Bay from 6.00pm. The cost is NIL with the Boars providing jerseys, shorts and socks plus Insurance for all players.
