Club Malua Women’s Bowls Report

Bowls Organiser David Thomas welcomed 20 ladies on a somewhat bleak day which threatened rain.

Winners on Rink 12, Joan Rimmer and Sue Beavan in a Pairs game.

Runners-up Rink 10, Lynn Gowans, Raija Johnston and Noleen Taylor.

Other winning teams, Robyn Butcher and Sonia Frey .

Tricia Wheeler , Jeanette Roberts and Gayl Vidgen in a very close game against Bev McKague, Colleen Ashby and Pat Weekes. Both teams scoring 1 or 2 each end until 11 all on the 16th end, then 16 all on end 22 with final score 18/17,thank you ladies for an enjoyable game.

Money club winners, 31, Gloria Harper, 37, David Thomas.

It was lovely to meet two ladies who will be joining us for social bowls, Di McPherson and Di Wotherspoon, We will all look forward to bowling with you both.

Good bowling this Wednesday and Thursday for those taking part in District 3 bowl Pairs Competition. Presentation Night August 5th, 6pm for 6.30pm start, $50, two courses also entertainment.

Sunday bowls which is Open Gender starts at 12.30pm, uniform to be worn.

Special thanks to Gayl Vidgen for doing my Report whilst I was away in New Zealand, very much appreciated.
