Council advise that overhanging branches along George Bass Drive - the section known as 'the airport straight' are in need of attention.
For five days (19 June to 23 June) between 7am-5pm, Monday to Friday, George Bass Drive will be closed between Broulee Road and Donnelly Drive, near the airport.
The work involves removing branches hanging over the road and assessing trees leaning over the road. Some trees may be removed if they're assessed hazardous or could cause problems in an emergency situation.
All work will be in the road reserve only. If any tree hollows are removed they will be relocated and nesting boxes provided.
Detours will be in place for the five days.
