Achilles Aiken was the young child in the horrific accident last Saturday at Lake Tabourie The female driver, and two passengers – a man and a young child – died at the scene. They are yet to be formally identified. A fourth occupant, a male passenger, was airlifted to hospital.
Through a GoFundMe fundraiser the child has been identified as Achilles.
Karen Gough, organizer of the GoFundMe fundraiser to help Achilles' mother Renae pay for his funeral says:
"On the 3rd of April while travelling to the coast to spend Easter with his mummy ,this beautiful little boy was tragically killed in a car accident his daddy was also tragically taken
"No mother should have to bury her child. Achilles had not long turned 5 he had just started school his whole little life had just begun .. We all think little children are special but he truly was he was full of spirit so strong with a love of his cars like you've never seen ... Renae has so much to deal with as you can imagine so please help me give this beautiful little man the goodbye he truly deserves...
