Inaugural Taste Of Seafood Festival In Bermagui Nov 25 and 26th

The Taste of Seafood Festival, hosted by the Professional Fishers Association will attract locals and tourists alike with a fresh fish market, informative industry displays, cooking demonstrations, competitions and games, live music and, of course, plenty of delicious seafood on offer.

Tricia Beatty, Professional Fisher’s Association CEO said, “It promises to be a fun day for the whole family with plenty of activities for the kids.

“Taste of Seafood Festivals, being held right around NSW, will raise awareness about local professional fishers and provide an opportunity for festival goers to see, feel and taste locally harvested wild caught seafood whilst interacting with members of the industry.”

“It’s an opportunity to educate the general public on the environmental sustainability of the NSW seafood industry, they will learn how it is caught, where it is stored and where they can purchase it,” explained Gary Howard, PFA Chairman. The Taste of Seafood Festivals are run by the Professional Fishers Association with the objective of championing local industry and supporting sustainable fishing practices. Entry to the Festivals is free of charge and will welcome both locals and visitors to regional areas.

Each event promotes tourism, locally sourced products and related businesses to all attending. Feast on delicious Seafood fare, enjoy a variety of live music and join in with a range of activities… featuring boats, commercial and recreational fishing exhibits, cooking competitions, educational displays, arts & crafts plus interactive kids entertainment
