The Beagle Editor, ROAD TO CANBERRA
My goodness, the road from Batemans Bay to Canberra has become seriously water damaged and is now hazardous in many places.
I suggest the road is close to requiring a marked reduction in speed limits with a ban on heavy trucks.
I urge people to not drive on this road after dark - you cannot see the bottom of some road collapses and the potential damage to your car could mean you are stranded in a dangerous situation.

Above: This is another example of why you should never drive through flood waters, as you can’t tell the condition of the road underneath. With more rain and flooding forecast over the coming days and weeks, please drive safely and remember - If it’s flooded, forget it!
Keep up to date with the weather conditions through the Bureau of Meteorology and follow the NSW SES for the latest warnings.
