Long Beach arrest for drugs and firearm

South Coast Proactive Crime Team Police executed a search warrant at a residential property in Sandy Place, Long Beach on Thursday 21 May 2020.

Police located an amount of cash, a quantity of prohibited drugs (alleged to be cannabis), an unregistered firearm and ammunition, and a quantity of fireworks. These items were seized.

A 20 year old male was arrested and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station.

He was charged with 2 x Supply prohibited drug, Possess unauthorised firearm, Possess unregistered firearm, Possess ammunition, Not keep firearm safely, Handle explosive/precursor without authorising licence and Deal with property proceeds of crime.

The man will appear at Batemans Bay Local Court on 22 June 2020.
