The Narooma & District Lions Club held their Change-Over Dinner Meeting at Club Narooma on Tuesday 26th July with special guests attending. They were Zone 5 Chair Robyn Bedford, Pambula/Merimbula Lions Club, and Past District Governor, Gordon Matthews, Pambula/Merimbula Lions.
Gordon had the pleasure of installing the new Board and it’s Executive of President, Mrs. Ricci Bishop, Secretary Mr. Tony Fahey and Treasurer, Mr. Jack Nott.
Robyn inducted two new members, Graham and Wendy Litchfield. So expect to see new faces serving you at the Dalmeny Market, Lions BBQ Trailer shortly.
It was also a pleasure to be able to donate $1,000 to the Northern Rivers Flood Appeal via the Australian Lions Foundation who is supporting flood affected people in the Region.
Our Lions Club would like to thank all those who supported our Dalmeny Market BBQ’s from February to June, and other fund raising initiatives over this period. The Region will need supporting well into the future, so any money still being donated is gratefully accepted.
Once the formalities were over, a lighter note was struck as much laughter ensued when a round of “Celebrity Heads” was played, with the celebrities being, The Queen, Skippy, Elvis and “Me”. An oldie but a goodie to engender good fellowship.
