New footpaths for Tuross Head

Writer's picture: The BeagleThe Beagle

One of Council's upcoming projects is for new footpaths along Hawkins Road and Evans Road to extend the Tuross Head path network. The length of Hawkins Road will get a 2.5 metre shared path along its southern edge, while a 1.5 metre footpath will be built on the eastern side of Evans Road. Footpath construction should begin in May and will generally follow water-main renewal work currently underway. Weather permitting the footpaths should be finished in July. They will be complemented by a planned raised crossing on Tuross Boulevarde and upgraded lighting, near the One Tree Point car park.
