No Scomo visit yet Far South Coast but Jen is coming for morning tea

With just weeks away things aren't looking all that good for the local Liberal candidate securing a crowd pleasing visit from the Prime Minister to venture further south than Nowra and rain promises on the voters of Gilmore and Eden Monaro. Yesterday we saw the Foreign Affairs Minister come as far south as Ulladulla to make an announcement of funding for a disability accommodation hub. With all that is happening in the Pacific, China and Europe it was surprising to see the Foreign Affairs Minister (and Minisiter for Women) making an announcement of a promise, if her government is re-elected, of $638,000 in funding from a bucket of money overseen by an independent panel. The Beagle was curious of the conditional pledge and recalled a similar circumstance around the same facility in 2016. Fortunately the funding did come through, based on an excellent application by Jindelara, and possibly aided by a friendly letter of support from Ms Sudmalis to the independent panel overseeing the funding allocation nation wide. The Beagle made a comment on the Andrew Constance FB page (below) and found it was deleted. Cheekily a screen shot was taken to be a record that it existed and was then deleted. This coming week will see candidates attend forums at Tuross Head on Monday and Batemans Bay on Wednesday. There is still no sign of a visit from Scott Morrison to our corner of the world however he is sending his wife Jenny down to Gerringong this coming Thursday morning for a strictly invite only morning tea to hear what she thinks on the various issues that Scott seeks her input to.
