Batemans Bay’s only co-working space has announced it is moving to a not-for-profit model meaning members can now have a private desk & workspace for only $50 a week. Film-maker and South Tribe co-founder Isabel Darling said the move will make the space more accessible for start-ups and freelancers currently working from home. “The new structure, where members have more involvement in the space, and where we gain access to new funding opportunities, will allow us to lower the price per desk significantly” Ms Darling said a change in layout also meant each person had more space and privacy. "After 6 months of operation, we’ve learnt how people like to use the space. The new layout gives more privacy, but still offers opportunity to collaborate and swap ideas with other members” Workspaces at South Tribe include fast NBN, meeting-room, client lounge area, kitchen facilities parking and 24/7 access. There are only a couple of desks remaining so if you would like to join in with professional programmers, video producers, developers and even the odd journalist who calls by then get in touch.
