Open The Door to Level 4 Rally

Moruya witnessed the rise of community voice today with hundreds attending the Open The Door for Level Four rally held that Russ Martin Park. Organising the event were the advocates of the One New Eurobodalla Hospital who have been tirelessly campaigning to have the promised Level Four Regional Hospital open its doors with Level Four services. While the State Government has promised $260 million for the new facilities concerns are growing that the intention is to open a hospital that is Level Three. Additionally it is understood that many of the Level Four capacities will not be met for many years to come and, as a consequence the present level of hospital services in the Eurobodalla will remain Level Three and, as reported recently, some of those services presently meet review requirements. The rally was very well attended with speakers taking turns to address the community who had turned out on a rainy day to show their support for those who are advocating on their behalf. Joining the community advocates and speakers were the Hon Chris Minns MP , NSW Opposition Leader, the Hon Ryan Park MP, NSW Shadow Minister for Health/Mental Health and the Hon Fiona Phillips MP, Federal Member for Gilmore.

On a side note: Some miserable individual pinched The Beagle umbrella that was on the Rotunda while I was taking photos and video. It is a large burgundy umbrella with the letter IPWEA (Institute of Public Works Engineers Association) - it is rare and only carried by folks it was presented to - me included. So if your friend or partner accidently acquired a new IPWEA umbrella tell them to give me a call.

NOTE: Comments were TRIALED - in the end it failed as humans will be humans and it turned into a pile of merde; only contributed to by just a handful who did little to add to the conversation of the issue at hand. Anyone who would like to contribute an opinion are encouraged to send in a Letter to the Editor where it might be considered for publication
