Richard Wharton: No problem with weather conditions

Tuross Head men golfers were out in full force on Saturday and despite receiving 200 mm of rain prior to the weekly stableford competition had no difficulty playing the course.

Golf carts were in use and thanks to further  drainage work on the fairways it was no problem negotiating the terrain and there was minimum disturbance to the course.

Players responded to a golf committee appeal to take care when playing and their response resulted in a successful round of golf taking place.

Richard Wharton handled the conditions well and won the Saturday event  with a stableford score of 40 points.

Dave Gray was second with 39 points.

John Eglites  with 38 points, Peter McRae 37 and Steve Johnston 36 points were the remaining award winners.
