SE Pigeon Racing Results

Members of the South east racing pigeons combine Inc sent 43 pigeons to St Paul’s Station (west of Hay, south of Maude NSW) to race back to their home lofts some 560 to 570 kms from their home lofts. This race was conducted in place of the planned Mildura race which was cancelled by our brothers and sisters in Wollongong. Our birds were transported by club member Brett Anderson. A huge thank you to Brett. The birds were released in ideal weather conditions with a gentle south west wind blowing. First was Manny Byrne of Mossy Point, second was John Mette of Bodalla and third was Barbie & Mario Magrin of Wallaga Lake. The winning birds travelled the distance in 7 hours at an average speed of 80 kms an hour!

This concludes the SERPC Inc 2022 race season, one which was hotly contested, one where we proved we could match it with the big boys in neighbouring areas, one where we proved when you leave envy and politics at home everyone can have fun and enjoy success!!!

A massive thank you to the Narooma Mens Shed who have given our little club a home, what a wonderful group of people
