Section of George Bass Drive closed for five days

A section of George Bass Drive will be closed for five days while Eurobodalla Council removes tree branches overhanging the road.

George Bass Drive will be closed between Broulee Road and Donnelly Drive, near the airport from 19 June to 23 June, between 7am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

Branches hanging over the road will be removed and trees leaning over the road will be assessed and removed if hazardous.

The work is being carried out to minimise the risk of trees and branches falling on the road, blocking access for residents, tourists and emergency services.

All work will be done within the road reserve only. If any tree hollows are removed, they will be relocated and nesting boxes provided.

Detours will be in place. For more information on roads and current works visit www.esc.nsw.gov.au/currentworks
