Quota, Rotary and Lions purchased a shipping container for residents of Nerrigundah to store donated equipment. It was delivered to the fire-ravaged community today. The donation was coordinated by Councillor Lindsay Brown and the delivery was made by Bay Removals (for free). The trip out to Nerrigundah was harrowing as this was the first time we had seen the devastation of the Dec 31 fires in the area. Surprisingly there are now signs of green amongst the burnt bush.

Above: Rotarians Bob Aston, Rod Walker, Quotarians Carol Hodges, Susan Pryke, Lions Margaret Latimer and Sandra, and ESC councillor Lindsay Brown saw the arrival of the donated shipping container to Nerrigundah fire caption Ron Threlfall.

Above: Councillor Lindsay Brown also purchased a lock for the container, which Nerrigundah fire captain Ron Threlfall happily received. Being able to lock up donated supplies is something the community really needed. Claudia Ferguson from The Narooma News was on hand to take photos and interview everyone.
