Unfortunately I had to take a break from bringing you local news for the past week as I was otherwise occupied in Wollongong Hospital attending to having my left kidney and a tumour removed during a nine hour surgery. I hope to describe the incredible treatment I received from all the amazing, professional, caring health staff from doctors to nursing and wards staff during my stay. In the meantime this is just a short note to say thankyou to those who sent emails, txts and messages when you learnt my medical holiday was more "complex" than I may have alluded to. I feel good, I am recovering at home and I hope to now review the many news items in the backlog and bring you up to date. Lei
