Fingers crossed that you might hear some of his new tracks from the upcoming release.
A quote from Sam: “I’m excited to play at Worst Summer Ever .. I think it’s a really good initiative to help bring the community together after the recent fires. I’m also keen to be a part, because while I’ve recently been performing far from home, I am very excited to be able to play to a home crowd and share the stage with these brilliant local acts.”
PICTURES WITH YUKI:
Representing Batemans Bay High in a big way. If you’ve been lucky enough to see them perform at one of their school events you’ll know the rest of us are in for a treat seeing their debut performance. Expect to see a lot more of these guys around the traps.
POTENT SOAP:
Recent graduates of Carol College, We all know these rock n rollers and you’d usually be paying to them
'Worst' Summer Ever! organisers say "The kids have had a pretty rough summer, many had their scheduled gigs cancelled and the others wouldn’t usually have an opportunity to show off their stuff, beyond school organised events. Hence the idea to hold an all ages music jam, for the kids by the kids. They are psyched."
"Josh from the Moruya Golfy has been amazing in support of this, donating the room, plus Eurobodalla Shire Council, Moruya High School P&C, Southlands Fruit & Veg, Horizon Bank and Eurobodalla Southcoast Pumpouts have all chipped in, so he’s able provide free BBQ + a fizzy for the under eighteens, plus $5 BBQ for adults (drinks excl).
"We also have Headspace coming to set up a chill out space as an access point to the mental health of the young people in attendance. We have 4 at the high school and we know that the general mental health of the student body ain’t great so we are hoping this will go a long way towards starting that very long road to recovery."
Kicks off 5pm’ish (they got a bridge tournament booked ’til 5) and Josh has said that if there’s still people kicking along, totally happy to keep it going beyond 9 .. so many performers had wanted to play, it’s looking like going past 9 anyway!!
Oh, and it’s being Mc’d by Dolores, she’s a local mum and comedian returned (six hour bus ride!) just for this! She’s bringing her faceprinting kit for the younger kiddos too.
